How to Create an Event

Getting Started

To create a new event, click on the icon representing a student near your location on the Duel Finder Map, and use the buttons on their Duelist Card to access a form to create the event of your choice. Do you want to invite them to a spar, challenge them to a duel, a tournament, or perhaps create a different type of event? This page provides information about the types of events and matches you can currently create within the Duel Finder System.

Friendly Spar

A friendly spar is a non-aggressive match between two duelists (either belonging to any or no clan) where the outcome of the spar has no effect on the Clan Wars, and both participants are rewarded with a small amount of Duel Credits and points. This provides an opportunity to learn from others without the pressure of a Clan War Duel.

About Clan War Duels

What is a Duel?

A Clan War Duel is a competitive match between two RSA students belonging to rival (or matching) clans where the outcome of the duel directly affects the annual world-wide Clan War Competition! Based upon the results of the match, the winner is rewarded at least 20 Duel Credits and the other student loses the same amount of Duel Credits. Both students earn points, and the winner’s Clan earns WAR POINTS, brining it closer to victory!

The CLAN WAR

Every Saber-Day, (April 4th) the Clan with the most new members and WAR POINTS wins the world-wide competition, and the members of that clan are all given exclusive rewards on that day. On April 5th, all WAR POINTS are cleared and a new war beings. Lead your clan to victory by winning duels and by convincing others (even rival clan members) to join your clan!

Rewards:

These duels offer an opportunity for students to test the limit of their skills against an equally motivated advisory.

About City Tournaments

How Tournaments Work

A City Tournament is an exciting competition, centered in the area in and around a major city, where five or more students compete to be the first place winner! (Duelists and guests outside the RSA are also welcome to participate for free, but are not eligible for any of the digital account awards.) Anyone with an RSA account may create a tournament, and any RSA student can participate (given that they can cover the entry fee and have a high reputation score.) The tournament winners are decided through several one-on-one duels in a standard tiered bracket system. Percentages of the total entry fees (of Duel Credits) are then rewarded to the top four winners. Tournaments may take place as often as the organizers wish, and is a great way for an organizer to earn more Duel Credits and Clan War Points!.

Inviting Participants

Once an organizer chooses a major city area in which to base the tournament, all students who have chosen the matching city code upon registration will then be automatically invited to the event! In addition, any number individual students can be invited to a specific tournament through the use of the Duel Finder Map and the “invite to a tournament” button found on each Duelist Card. Any number of students can be invited to a tournament, however the RSA encourages organizers to only invite those within a reasonable distance to the tournament’s set public meeting place.

Rewards:

If a minimum number of participants agree on the outcome:

The 'pot' of entry fees make up the Duel Credit winnings

•  5% of the Duel Credits and 500 Points to each 3rd place Winner

•  20% of the Duel Credits, 250 Points, 20 Clan War Points, and one Quest Completion is awarded to the Organizer!

Additional Rewards:
•    Meet other local Students!
•    Test your skills!
•    Advance toward Knighthood.
